Settings & Configuration

System settings, integrations, and feature access for administrators and super administrators

Settings & Configuration

The Settings area is where your institution configures branding, communications, payments, file storage, Zoom, and other platform behavior. What you see depends on your role: Super Administrators have every configuration tab, while other administrators and teachers only see tabs that your Super Administrator has enabled for your role.

Accessing settings

  1. Sign in to the dashboard.
  2. Open the System group in the sidebar.
  3. Choose Settings.

If you are not a Super Administrator and no settings tabs have been enabled for your account, you will see a message to contact your super administrator.

Super Administrator tabs

Super Administrators typically see the following tabs (names may match the labels in the product):

  • App Configuration — Application name, URLs, locale, and core application options.
  • Business Information — Institution name, address, and contact details used on documents and the portal.
  • Bank Details — Banking information used for payouts and reconciliation where applicable.
  • SMTP Configuration — Outbound email server settings for system emails.
  • Social Media — Links and handles shown to users where the product displays them.
  • Payment Gateways — Configuration for online payment providers.
  • SMS & WhatsApp — Messaging credentials and options for SMS/WhatsApp features (when licensed).
  • Zoom Configuration — OAuth or account settings used by the Zoom integration.
  • File Storage — Storage driver and related options for uploaded files and media (aligned with your deployment).
  • Theme — Portal theming and appearance options.
  • Feature Toggles — Turn product areas on or off for your tenant (works together with feature modules).
  • Content Protection — Options that affect how course media and documents are protected in the player and downloads.

Changes on each tab are saved using that tab’s Save (or equivalent) action. Wait for confirmation before leaving if you have unsaved edits.

Administrators and teachers (limited settings)

For Administrator and Teacher roles, the portal loads settings tabs from feature modules of type settings_tab. Your Super Administrator controls which modules are enabled for your institution and which settings areas you may edit.

Typical examples of assignable tabs include App Configuration, Business Information, Bank Details, SMTP, Social Media, SMS & WhatsApp, Zoom, File Storage, Theme, and Content Protection. If a tab does not appear, it has not been enabled for your role or has been turned off at the institution level.

Security

Treat SMTP, payment gateway, SMS, Zoom, and file storage credentials like production secrets. Restrict who can open the Settings page and review access regularly.
