Messaging & Communication
The Messaging & Communication section allows administrators to send messages via SMS, WhatsApp, and email, track communication logs, manage fee reminders, and monitor messaging statistics.
Overview
Messaging & Communication enables you to:
- Send SMS messages to students, parents, or teachers
- Send WhatsApp messages
- Send email notifications
- Track message delivery and status
- View messaging logs and history
- Manage fee reminder campaigns
- Monitor messaging statistics
Accessing Messaging Dashboard
Navigation
- Log in to the administrator dashboard
- Navigate to "Messaging Dashboard" in the navigation menu
- You'll see messaging overview and quick actions
Sending SMS Messages
Single SMS
- Go to Messaging Dashboard
- Click "Send SMS"
- Select recipient (student, parent, or teacher)
- Enter message text
- Preview message
- Click "Send"
Bulk SMS
- Click "Send Bulk SMS"
- Select recipient group:
- All students
- Specific class
- Parents
- Teachers
- Enter message text
- Preview and send
SMS Configuration
SMS functionality requires proper configuration. Ensure SMS settings are configured in Settings before sending messages.
Sending WhatsApp Messages
Single WhatsApp Message
- Go to Messaging Dashboard
- Click "Send WhatsApp"
- Select recipient
- Enter message text
- Add media (optional)
- Send message
Bulk WhatsApp
- Select multiple recipients
- Enter message content
- Send to all selected recipients
Email Messaging
Sending Emails
- Navigate to messaging section
- Click "Send Email"
- Select recipients
- Enter subject and message
- Add attachments (optional)
- Send email

Use pre-configured templates for:
- Welcome emails
- Fee reminders
- Assignment notifications
- Attendance alerts
- Grade notifications

Viewing SMS Logs
- Navigate to "SMS Logs"
- View all sent SMS messages
- See delivery status:
- Sent
- Delivered
- Failed
- Pending
Viewing WhatsApp Logs
- Navigate to "WhatsApp Logs"
- View WhatsApp message history
- Check delivery status
- View message content
Filtering Logs
Filter logs by:
- Date range
- Recipient
- Status
- Message type
Fee Reminders
Creating Fee Reminders
- Go to "Fee Reminder Logs"
- Click "Create Reminder"
- Select:
- Recipients (students/parents with outstanding fees)
- Reminder message template
- Schedule (immediate or scheduled)
- Send reminders

Pre-configured templates for:
- First reminder (friendly)
- Second reminder (urgent)
- Final reminder (critical)
- Payment confirmation

- Navigate to Fee Reminder Logs
- View all sent reminders

Dashboard Statistics
View overview of:
- Total Messages Sent: All message types
- SMS Messages: SMS count and delivery rate
- WhatsApp Messages: WhatsApp count and status
- Email Messages: Email count and open rate
- Delivery Rates: Success vs. failure rates
Detailed Analytics
Access detailed analytics:
- Messages by date
- Delivery success rates
- Recipient engagement
- Cost analysis (for paid services)

Issue: SMS not sending
